STUDENT LIFE AT COUNTRY DAY
WORLD SCHOOL

Country Day World School is a community that emphasizes the importance of the student experience beyond the classroom. Through an emphasis on global and local travel, team sports, experiential student clubs, and freshly prepared meals in the World School Cafe, the whole child is truly nurtured, inspired and prepared. Our goal is that every child in our community will have access to something they love doing—and the skills they need to pursue those passions as
they grow.

The Four Pillars of Wellbeing

Social emotional learning at Country Day World School is guided by the Contentment Foundation’s Four Pillars of Wellbeing: mindfulness, community, self-curiosity, and contentment and balance. The curriculum developed by Yale University offers research based practices that improve teacher and student wellbeing for infants through adulthood. Through daily practice we work towards whole child physiological and emotional wellbeing.

CDWS Equestrian is located at the on campus stables and offers riding lessons for everyone from the new rider to the experienced showman. As a top rated hunter-jumper show barn, the CDWS Equestrian program provides an unparalleled opportunity for students to learn responsibility and compassion as bonds between horse and rider are built.

Summer Camp 1.jpg

Summer Camp

Country Day World School offers a locally and nationally recognized summer camp for students ages two through 9th grade. We believe that children should be encouraged to explore their creativity and hone their problem-solving skills from an early age. Our summer camp encourages children to develop these skills in a fun, supportive environment. Whether you’re looking for artistic enrichment, sports challenges, science camps or just plain fun, you’ll find many different camps to make the summer a rewarding one.
